UBSS Museum Collection

The Society has been involved in a number of active archaeological digs, mostly in caves, on Mendip in south Gloucestershire, and in the Wye Valley. Some of these have yielded material of national and international significance. Sadly, much was lost when the Museum was bombed in 1940, but much still remains. This material continues to be studied and continues to be added to from time to time.

Access to the Museum

Visits to the Museum and access to the Museum collections can be made on application to the Hon Curator, Linda Wilson who is always happy to receive visitors and to help with queries about specific aspects of the collection.
