The Bibliography covers known references to sites of Pleistocene and Palaeolithic age in this area. It was first
compiles by D.T. Donovan in 1954 and was added to in 1964. By 1977 these papers were out of print and were reprinted,
with an additional sixty references, by Tratman and Hawkins. the most recent printed update was in 1989 by Donovan
and Mansfield. The 1977 paper may be found here

Thanks to the work of Antonia Self, undertaken as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, the 1954 and 1964 bibliographies
are now available in searchable form through our literature search page. This should also find
relevant entries from our own, later, publications. It is hoped that more volunteers will complete this task and
keep it up to date in the future.
