Irish Cave Guides
The Society has long-standing links to caving in Ireland and has now published five book on caves in that country. The most recent books are Caves of Mid-West Ireland and Caves of southern Ireland. The books contains detailed accounts and surveys of the caves, one covering the four counties of Clare, Galway, Mayo and Roscommion and the other, the latest, covering the counties of Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly, along with discussions of their formation and hydrology.
Caves of Mid-West Ireland was launched in November 2019 as part of the Society's Centenary celebrations both in Ireland, at the annual SUICRO Symposium, and in Bristol, at our Centenary Symposium.
Caves of southern Ireland was published in September 2022 and was formally launched at the annual SUICRO Symposium in October 2022.
Both books can be purchased via our online shop. For commercial sales, please contact the editor. Members should also contact the editor for discounted rates.
